Our time at Porta di Castro was wonderful, both my husband and I and our two teenage children enjoy our stay with them. Our hosts went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and nothing was to much trouble for them, from recommending and reserving a table at a local restaurant, booking an early morning taxi and ensuring we knew our way to visit all the local sites. Our breakfast each morning was Ottimo, molto buono (exellent), which set us up for a great day of sight seeing, all of which was an easy walk from Porta di Castro. We would recommend this B&B to anyone planning a visit to Palermo.

Alessandro was a consummate host. Warm, welcoming, and great with our two boys. Our room was awesome, and our boys loved the space. Plenty of room for the family. Alessandro was excellent in arranging meals for us (including a wonderful Christmas Day luncheon) and a driver to take us to Cefalu and Trapani. We were well taken care if.
The location is great (very close to main attractions) but watch yourselves out the door for the crazy traffic.

the owner of porta di castro is a really nice guy and very friendly. he explained everything to us very detailed and showed us on a may where to go to and what to do best. we also got a good drink at our arrival. breakfast was really good - thanks a lot.
we stayed in a room at the top of the b&b. it was a long way to get there and the room didn´t look the same as the other rooms. the wifi wasn´t working at the top and the rooms looked really old as well. the other romms at the first and second level were really nice and totally different!

provided breakfast was fantastic and magnificent with cheese sandwiches and fresh fruit and great coffee, exceeded our expectations. the atmosphere created was elegant. location: the hotel was very close to a beautifully renovated church, located on a quiet street very close to the centre of town as well as the historic centre and attractions.
